Description

When life gives you the shaft (or 3 tonnes of shafts)…make a pen! Built from repurposed screwdriver shafts, the Scribedriver is the intersection of sustainability and a premium writing experience.

With an electrical discharge machined logo and discreet detailing, no attention to detail was spared in creating this precision performance pen.

Smooth bolt action provides a satisfying feel and easy activation
Our spring-loaded bolt action allows this elegant pen to double as the perfect fidget toy that you can sneak into even the stuffiest meetings.

Built with repurposed LTT screwdriver shafts from our original launch run, you can expect the same premium quality as our tools
In the spirit of sustainability, we machined down screwdriver shafts we couldn’t use and turned them into a writing tool with a high quality feel and finish.

Comfortable and grippy knurling
Our knurled finish at the pen’s grip point provides a perpetually comfortable writing experience while outlasting any standard gel or foam-based pen grip. This is a softer knurling than the LTT screwdriver to allow for extended use and comfort.

Compatible with Parker G2 refills
Shipped with a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium (black) pen cartridge inside, we made the Scribedriver easy to refill with a standard format for long-term everyday use.

Fantastic quality pen. Brilliantly weighted, writes really nicely.

Very fidgety. It was a little gritty at first but it’s smoothed out with a couple dozen clicks. The O-ring is useless but it does stay closed tight without it so no complaints.

I think this will be my first negative review for an LTT product. I really wanted to like this pen. I ordered on the first 5000 release and have been using it since. My problem is that no matter how I hold the pen it clicks every single time the tip touches anything. It makes it very hard to write with. I have contacted support and even sent in videos and the response was "The noises present in these videos do match our internal samples, and is caused from the pen cartridge making contact with the shell (when shook or when the tip is depressed at an angle)". Which is probably true but mine seems very loud and I also feel it every time i write. My 50cent pens don't so that. I feel like the machining on mine was slightly off and made the barrel fairly wide for the pen cartridge allowing it to move much more then intended. I've even tried a stiffer spring and holding it completely vertical and it still clicks.

I really wanted to like this pen as I have purchased a lot of products from LTTstore and very rarely have any issues with anything.

This issue doesn't seem to be the norm from when I asked(on reddit). No one else seemed to be experiencing the same issue as I am. I haven't read all the reviews on the scribe drive but from what I have read this doesn't seem to be an issue for anyone else.

Also just like many others the o-ring decided it wasn't needed the first time I opened it. What's nice is support has given the specs for the o-ring and its fairly easy to get.

Very solid pen

It's a metal pen made of leftover screwdriver parts. That makes it virtually indestructible and I like that the cartridge is a standard sized replacement. I also like that the this was a great way to recycle what would otherwise be wasted parts.

Only knock I am going to give it is the pen is thin and that might make a difference on people with larger hands. It was considerably noticeable as I had just received a similar pen from Ridge about 30 minutes prior and that pen fits my hand better. But I won't take a star off for that.

Love the pen. Writes smooth and feels good in the hand.
